ピヨ子の学校でやっている英語ビブリオバトル。
夏休み前に、課題図書20冊くらいの中から選んで購入。
このリストの中に、あんまりピヨ子が読みたいと思えるものがなく。
悩みながら、１番語数の多いもの、という条件でピヨ子が選んだのがこの本でした。
難産だったビブリオバトル原稿
読んだ後、まずはビブリオバトル原稿を書くのが夏休み中の宿題。
でも、全くすすみませんでした。
🐥人にすすめるポイントがないし！
だいたい、学校で習った文法までしか使っちゃいけないんだよ。
しかも、10分もしゃべらないといけないんだよ？
🐻スナフキンがポツリと教訓めいたことを言ったりしないの？
🐥いや？何も？
🐻じゃあミーが嫌味っぽく真理をついたりしないの？
（大昔にみたアニメの中のおぼろげな記憶から）
🐥ミー？そんなキャラ、出てこないよ？
🐻！！！
どうやら私が知っているアニメ版とはキャラ設定まで違う？？
原稿提出用のプリントには、こんな構成で書こう、というヒントがいろいろ書いてあったので、そのうちのいくつかをそのまま英語でピヨ子に聞いてみました。
🐻What is your favorite sciene？
Who is your favorite characters？
そうしたら、英語でスラスラと返ってきたんです。
英語しゃべるときって、日本語しゃべる時より饒舌になったり積極的になったりするんですよね。
その返事がそれなりに使えそうだったので、そのまま採用。
🐻favorite scieneについては、もっと簡単な表現で皆がわかるように言い換えれば？
🐥ああ、うん。
🐻characterに関しては、その言葉遊びは聞いてるだけじゃイメージできないなあ。
もっと簡単な文章にして、ボードに書いたものを見せながら、クイズ形式にして観客を巻き込んじゃえば？
🐥なるほど！💡
それなら時間も潰れるし、盛り上がるね！

前から、言いたいことが決まれば英作文自体には困ることなく、スラスラ原稿を書き上げましたよ。

"Moomin and the hat"ビブリオバトル原稿
Do you know about Moomin's story？
Today, I will introduce this book, ”Moomin And The Hat.”
It was written by Tove Jansson.
Please listen and enjoy my speech.
This is a fantasy story in Moominvalley.
Moomintroll, Moominmamma, Moominpapa, Sniff, Snufkin, Snorkmaiden, and The Hemulen are living there.
They live in Moominhouse together.
One day in early spring, Moomintroll, Snufkin and Sniff went to the top of the mountain, and found a hat.
It was a magic hat.
It can change things to another things.
And, this hat will be a very important thing in this story.
I will tell you about my favorite scene.
One day, it was raining outside, so Moomintroll wore the magic hat, his body changed!
His big nose became small, his fat body became thin.
His little eyes, ears and tail became very big.
Everyone thought that he is a new friend.
But he said "Moomintroll is a terrible Moomin."
So, Sniff and Snufkin got really angry and started fighting with him.
Then, Moominmamma came and stopped them.
Only Moominmamma could find him Moomintroll.
This scene was very funny for me.
My favorite characters are Thingmy and Bob.
They were traveling long time and came to Moominhouse, but they speak an interesting language.
For example, "Moomin house" will be "Hoomin mouse."
"dog and cat" wil be "cog and dat."
"It's nice to meet you." will be "It's mice to neet you."
I like this language very much.
Then, let's play quiz.
I will say something like Thingmy and Bob, so you have to answer the meaning of the sentence.

To sum up, "Moomin And The Hat'' is a very fantastic book.
You can laugh at funny things, think about mystery, and finally, you can become happy with Moomintroll and his friends.
I'm sure that you can enjoy and become happy with this book.

飽きさせない工夫
勝ち抜いたら全部で3回やることになる英語ビブリオバトルのスピーチ。
スケッチブックに、こんなフリップを用意しました。
毎回このクイズの部分だけアレンジしていけば、マンネリしていくのも防げる効果もあると気づいたピヨ子。
飽きさせない工夫もちゃんと考えているみたいです。
決勝に行けるといいね！
